Joyce H. Cambria, 89, of Greensboro, NC and formerly of Clearfield, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at the Beacon Place Hospice, Greensboro, NC.
She was born Oct. 27, 1925 in the United Kingdom, a daughter of the late Harold and Catherine (Barrett) Heyworth.
Mrs. Cambria was a homemaker, where she was proud to raise her children. She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, lector, a member of the Rosary and Altar Society and taught RCIA.
She was also a past board member of Child Welfare Services, where she was a secretary and treasurer. She had also served on the Clearfield Children’s Home Board.
She’s survived by five children, Anthony Sembiante and his wife, Kathy of Pittsburgh, Frank Joseph Cambria of North Carolina, Linda O’Day and her husband, John of Burlington, NC, Anita Billotte and her husband, Ron of Whitsett, NC and Karen Pizzella and her husband, Matt of Baltimore, Md.
She’s survived by eight grandchildren, Brian O’Day, Heather O’Day and Kristin O’Day Cleveland, all of North Carolina, Tom DeMurry, Bobbie DeMurry and Adam Billotte, all of Pennsylvania, Aaron Billotte of Georgia and Elyse Pizzella of Maryland and six great-grandchildren, Jesen and Devin Billotte, Clara Rose and Tessa Cleveland and Sean and Brendan O’Day.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Cambria on April 5, 2013 and whom she wed Aug. 27, 1955 in Clearfield.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Fr. Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield.
