CLEARFIELD – Lock Haven University Clearfield campus held its first-ever Career Development Day/Job Fair on Dec. 4.
The event, open to the public, was a collaborative effort among the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, the Clearfield County CareerLink and LHU Clearfield.
Staff members from the Pennsylvania Department of L&I were on site to educate individuals on JobGateway, Pennsylvania’s portal for connecting job seekers and employers.
Twenty exhibiters and respective employers were on hand to meet with students and community members to discuss job, internship and volunteer opportunities. Several individuals earned on-the-spot interviews and departed with employment.
Twenty-five seniors from the Clearfield Area High School also attended the event to learn about civil service opportunities and programs offered by LHU Clearfield.
