Obituary Notice: Madeline Fauls

Madeline Fauls, 95, of DuBois died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.

Born Sept. 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Agnes (Rybic) Matuzich.

She was married to Edward Fauls.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1987.

She retired from Riverside Market on Main Street in DuBois.  Prior to that, she had worked at the Jackson China Company in Falls Creek.

She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was a tireless volunteer for many dinners at St. Catherine’s Church.  Her love for her family, her church and her faith in God sustained her throughout her life.

She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Lehmer and her husband, Robert of Glenshaw; four sisters, Mary Coville, Helen Matusick, Elizabeth “Betty” Bigar and Jane “Bunny” Astori, all of DuBois; two grandchildren, Dr. Melissa Lehmer and her husband, Dr. Eric Chen and Robert T. Lehmer and his wife, Sara; and two great-grandchildren, Isla and Carson Chen.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Bodner, Anna Wilson and Barbara Davis and five brothers, Stephen, George, Joseph, Thomas and Francis “Skippy” Matuzich.

Friends will be received from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
