CLEARFIELD – A DuBois man allegedly found in possession of marijuana and LSD during a traffic stop waived his right to a preliminary hearing during Centralized Court on Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.

Vincent Stuart Aaron, 25, of DuBois has been charged with intentional possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered; manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; use/possession of drug paraphernalia; and disregard of flashing red signal. Aaron is incarcerated in lieu of $50,000 bail.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Clearfield Borough police observed the operator of a small, black passenger car turn onto West Front Street without stopping at a blinking traffic signal. Police activated their emergency lights to stop the vehicle along Race Street and identified the operator as Aaron.

Upon investigation police found that Aaron had a warrant out for failure to appear through the Centre County Sheriff’s Department. Aaron was subsequently arrested and searched by police who found a tin labeled “Sucrets” in his coat pocket. Inside the tin, police found numerous items wrapped up in pieces of tin foil and a bag containing a tan-colored powder/crystal.

Police also observed a backpack on the front seat of the vehicle. Upon seizing and searching inside, police located suspected marijuana. Police logged the backpack and tin in as evidence at the police station.

Inside the backpack, police found 35 individually wrapped bags of green, leafy vegetable matter. Police tested a sample, which yielded a positive result for marijuana. Inside the backpack, police also found a grinder, three boxes of sandwich bags and a pipe commonly used to smoke marijuana.

Inside the tin, police found seven individually wrapped strips of foil, which were opened, and contained strips of papers marked with small squares. Police tested a sample of the paper, which yielded a positive result for LSD.

In another case, all charges were held for court against a 40-year-old Hawk Run man, Wescott Pusey, who has been accused of inappropriately touching a 9-year-old girl.

Pusey has been charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, corruption of minors and indecent assault/person less than 13 years.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, state police at Clearfield received a report on May 29 about Pusey inappropriately touching the alleged victim. When interviewed by state police, the alleged victim said it happened “a lot” and more than 30 times over an approximate one-year period.

The alleged victim also told state police that one time Pusey made her touch his private area on top of his clothes.

Prior to contacting Pusey, state police were notified by his attorney that he would decline an interview, the affidavit states.
