Obituary Notice: Gloria D. Gasbarre

Gloria D. Gasbarre, 85, of DuBois died Monday, Nov. 24, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.

Born Dec. 11, 1928 in Lackawanna, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leona Ellinger.

On April 17, 1948 in Ridgway, she married George P. Gasbarre Sr.  He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2008.

Prior to moving to DuBois in 1970, she and her husband lived in St. Louis, Mo.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked alongside her husband during the founding years of Gasbarre Products.

She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.  She was a past member of the DuBois Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and the Ladies of the Lake.

She enjoyed bowling, golfing and bocce ball. She was active in the American Cancer Society, where she was past chairman of Daffodil Days.

She is survived by five children,  Rebecca Noelker and her husband, Joseph of St. Louis, Mo., and Thomas G. Gasbarre and his wife, Lori, Carl Z. Gasbarre and his wife, Marsha, William R. Gasbarre and his wife, Terry and George P. Gasbarre Jr., all of DuBois; 12 grandchildren, Madeline and Marisa Noelker; Alex Gasbarre and his wife, Laura; Ben Gasbarre and his wife, Kelly and Angela Gasbarre; Michael Gasbarre and his wife, Lori; Melia Hall and her husband, Joe; and Carla and Mary Elizabeth Gasbarre, Kristine and Jeffrey Gasbarre and Chad Gasbarre; two great-grandchildren, Dominic Hall and Cameron Gasbarre.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.

A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
