Collection Under Way for Clearfield County Food Pantries

CLEARFIELD – Aaron’s of Clearfield will hold a food drive for Central Pennsylvania Community Action’s (CPCA) Clearfield County Food Pantries through Dec. 13.

As part of its Community Outreach Program, anyone may drop off food to donate to the food pantries at Aaron’s and or Save-A-Lot located in the Clearfield Plaza.

Aaron’s will also offer a deal to anyone who donates 20 canned goods or 10 boxes of non-perishable foods. These donors will receive $20 off of a new lease agreement. The donation is an equivalent to a first month’s payment.

All donations are greatly appreciated and will be used to supplement local food pantries that are facing the largest shortages and to purchase items that will be given to area recipients.

The CPCA has operated 10 food pantries, located in Clearfield County, for more than 30 years.  More than 6,300 Clearfield County residents benefited from food pantry services in the past year.
