Obituary Notice: Pearl A. Russell

Pearl A. Russell, 78, of Grampian died Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Mrs. Russell was born Dec. 14, 1935 at Clearfield, the daughter of Ernest and Catherine (Sharp) Coder She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Russell was Methodist by faith.

She is survived by eight daughters, Anna Louis Jacox and Joyce Stubbs and her husband, Louis, both of Curwensville; Linda Hile and her husband, Richard, Betty Roseberry and her husband, Allen, Jean Maines and her husband, Blaine and Joan Williams and her husband, John, all of Clearfield; Teri Fetterman and her husband, Rodney of Glen Campbell; and Laurie Kerin of DuBois.

She is survived by eight grandchildren, Jennifer Sheridan (Daniel), Jamie Breeden (Joshua), Katie Maines and Beth and John Williams, all of Clearfield, and Melissa Sopic (Brad) and Louis and Bradley Stubbs, all of Curwensville; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Adams, Nikki Jacox and Ella and Benson Sopic, all of Curwensville, and Greyson Roseberry of Clearfield; and a great-great-granddaughter, Sophia Adams of Curwensville.

She is also survived by two sisters, Kay Strishock of Brockway and Sylvia Knepp and her husband, Leo of Woodland; a brother, Kenneth Coder and his wife, Charlene of Clearfield, a sister-in-law, Margaret “Peggy” Coder of Shiloh and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John L. Russell, whom she married Feb. 4, 1957; two brothers, Sonny and James Coder; and a sister, Florence Haag.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Ron Emery officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the hour of services at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
