State police at Clearfield
- An incident of retail theft occurred Friday at Shop ‘N Save in Woodward Township. During the incident, a known female allegedly concealed 32 items in her purse and clothing while at the store. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Doc Welker Road in Bradford Township. Further, Robert A. Goodrow of Woodland was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway. His vehicle subsequently left the roadway and struck a tree. Goodrow wasn’t injured in the accident; he was wearing his seatbelt.
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday at Tony’s Crossroads in Cooper Township. During the incident, an 18-year-old Drifting man was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Charges, state police said, will be filed through the district court.
- An incident of underage consumption occurred Sunday at Tony’s Crossroads in Cooper Township. Further, a 15-year-old juvenile was a passenger involved with a traffic stop and found to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges, state police said, will be filed through the district court.
- An accident occurred Sunday on Irvin Avenue behind the Peebles Plaza in Decatur Township. Further, Dakota J. Thompson, 23, of West Decatur was traveling north when his vehicle left the roadway and impacted with the rear side of the Peebles Plaza/Goodwill building. State police found that Thompson was under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into custody. Thompson was subsequently charged with DUI and related summary traffic offenses.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Pumpkin Hollow Road in Decatur Township. During the incident, someone allegedly cut a hole in the victim’s steel-wired fence. Damage, state police said, is estimated at $150.
State police at DuBois
- A bicycle was located along Third Street in front of the NetShape plant in Falls Creek Borough. Anyone with information about the bicycle is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An accident occurred Saturday on DuBois-Rockton Road in Union Township. Further, Brittany L. Hubler, 18, of Clearfield lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway, which caused it to fishtail. Her vehicle then slid in a clockwise direction, at which point its driver’s side struck two mailboxes along the south berm. The Hubler vehicle proceeded to overturn onto its roof in a ditch, where it came to a rest. Both Hubler and her passenger sustained minor injuries; both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. State police were assisted by the Rockton Fire Department and Brady Township Emergency Medical Services.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of retail theft occurred at the Dollar General Store in Philipsburg Borough. Further, a known female was allegedly found stealing a bottle of shampoo. While reviewing surveillance, she was also allegedly found stealing an energy drink on a different date. Charges, state police said, were filed through the district court.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Interstate 99 in Worth Township. Further, Linnane R. Batzel, of Duncansville was traveling northbound in the right-hand lane when she lost control of her truck while crossing an ice-covered bridge. Her truck slid across the western lane of travel and struck the concrete bridge. Her truck then jack-knifed and started to spin in a clockwise direction; it slid east across both lanes and struck the guiderails. Batzel wasn’t injured and was wearing her seatbelt.
- An accident occurred Saturday on I-99 in Worth Township. Further, Ashley Tate of Chalfont was traveling northbound in the right-hand lane when she lost control of her vehicle on an ice-covered bridge. Her vehicle then slid off the roadway and struck a section of guiderail, becoming disabled. Tate wasn’t injured and was wearing her seatbelt.
- An accident occurred Saturday on U.S. Route 322 in Worth Township. Further, Zeyu Zhou of State College was traveling eastbound in the vicinity of Laurel Run. Due to inclement weather and roadway conditions, Zhou lost control of his vehicle while crossing an icy bridge. His vehicle slid and struck the side of the bridge and guiderail. After that it traveled across the eastbound lanes and a grass median, striking the guiderails on the opposite side of the median. The Zhou vehicle came to a rest on top of the guiderails. No injuries were reported and Zhou and his passengers were wearing their seatbelts.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Skytop Mountain Road in Huston Township. Further, Kenneth W. Pasch of State College was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway. His vehicle slid off the roadway into a ditch and then struck the side of the embankment. Upon impact his vehicle’s right, rear wheel/tire/axle assembly snapped off. The Pasch vehicle was propelled back onto the roadway, where it came to a rest in the eastbound lane. No injuries were reported and both Pasch and his passenger were wearing their seatbelts.
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on I-99 in Worth Township. Further, a 50-year-old Grassflat man was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The man, state police said, will be charged through the district court.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Saturday on Silverdale Road in Worth Township. During the incident, an 18-year-old male allegedly damaged the inside of the victim’s residence. The victim, state police said, wasn’t willing to pursue charges due to the male being her grandson.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of theft/fraud occurred Friday in Horton Township. Further, someone allegedly made fraudulent, online purchases with the victim’s credit card information. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- An accident occurred Saturday on Silver Creek Road in Ridgway Township. Further, Jason A. Arthur of Warren was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the icy roadway. His vehicle started to spin counterclockwise, crossed the roadway and impacted an embankment; it then overturned onto its roof. Arthur wasn’t injured and was wearing his seatbelt; his vehicle was towed from the scene.
- An accident occurred Saturday on River Road in Millstone Township. Further, Kenneth D. Keller of Wampum was traveling westbound and too fast for the icy roadway conditions. His vehicle crossed the roadway and impacted a tree. Keller’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Keller wasn’t injured and was wearing his seatbelt; he was cited for the accident.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute between a male and female at a North Fourth Street residence. It was noted that the male left the scene prior to police arrival. Police attempted to speak with the female; however, she refused to cooperate with police.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on Technology Drive. Further, an employee made contact with the vehicle and its operator who advised that they were lost and in need of assistance with directions.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male who had left the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital. Police made contact with the male along Nichols Street; the male appeared to be OK and refused any medical attention.
- Police were called to a medical emergency on Leavy Avenue.
- Police responded to North Third Street after an individual witnessed a vehicle strike another and leave the scene. Upon arrival police were unable to locate the owner of the vehicle and did not observe any damage.
- Police received a noise complaint that occurred on Turnpike Avenue. Further, a downstairs tenant was allegedly being kept awake from the noise upstairs. Police made contact with the second-floor tenants and advised them of the complaint.
- Police were requested to assist Lawrence Township police in searching for a female who walked away from her residence and suffered from dementia.
- Police assisted several individuals who had locked their keys inside their vehicles.
- Police responded to the area of Fulton and Williams streets, where a car was reportedly struck by a train. Upon arrival police found that a passenger car had pulled from the stop sign and its operator had failed to yield to the oncoming train. The car’s operator was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital with minor injuries.
- Police were dispatched to North Third Street for a male juvenile who was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Woodland Road. One vehicle was towed from the scene; no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police handled a psychological emergency along Clearfield Street. Further, a male was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for treatment.
- Police responded to East End where three vehicles were allegedly damaged after being egged.
- Police responded to the area of Owens and South Fifth streets, where a vehicle had overturned onto its side due to the icy roadway conditions. The vehicle was towed from the scene and no injuries were reported, police said.
- Police handled an accident along Elk Avenue, where a vehicle slid into another one, causing minor damage.
- Police handled multiple minor vehicle accidents due to icy road conditions.
- Police were called to an alleged domestic dispute along East Market Street.
- Police assisted with serving a 302 warrant on an individual.
- Police were called to Leavy Avenue to assist a female in gaining entry into her apartment after she had locked herself out. Police were able to assist her in getting inside.
- Police arrested a male for public intoxication after he was seen staggering along Bridge Street. The male was allegedly found to be highly intoxicated and on probation. He was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a call from a mother about her daughter who had failed to return home. Police located the female who returned back to the residence.
- Police located a vehicle parked after hours near CVS Pharmacy on Bridge Street. Further, police found a male sleeping inside the vehicle. The male was from out-of-state and had pulled over due to being tired, police said.
- Police arrested a male for public intoxication after he was seen falling along North Third Street. The male was allegedly highly intoxicated and transported to the CCJ.
- Police arrested a male for public intoxication after he was stopped by police along Nichols Street. The male was found to be on probation and not allowed to consume alcohol. He was taken to the CCJ on a probation violation.
- On Thursday, police conducted a detail focusing on summary warrants. As a result, police served a total of 34 warrants and collected approximately $2,000 in fines. In addition, one male was arrested for outstanding bench warrants from the Blair County Sheriff’s Office. Police received assistance from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office, Decatur Township police and Morris-Cooper Regional police. Police anticipate several more details in the near future.
- Police responded to an automatic alarm along Latimere Street. Upon arrival police located an employee who had accidentally set the alarm off.

- Police received a report about the alleged theft of services, which involved the removal of a water meter and the installation of a bypass. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police located a vehicle sitting sideways in the 400 block of East Pine Street. Further, police learned that the driver lost control of their vehicle due to icy roadways. No injuries or vehicle damage were reported, police said.

- Police were requested to check the welfare of someone in the area of the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on Coal Hill.
- Police received a report about an alarm at the Discovery House. However, police were cancelled while en route.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Woodland Road Bridge. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on the Park Avenue Bridge. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.

Sandy Township
- On Friday, a 28-year-old Guy Avenue resident reported that someone took a tailgate from his property.
- A 19-year-old Tozier Avenue man failed to stop his vehicle in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 47-year-old Treasure Lake man that was stopped in traffic on Friday. A third vehicle driven by a 56-year-old Treasure Lake woman was also involved, but she wasn’t sure which vehicle hit hers. The Treasure Lake man was transported to Penn Highlands for treatment of his injuries; his vehicle was severely damaged and towed from the scene.
- A 71-year-old Pacific Avenue woman reported that someone was knocking on the side of her house on Friday. Police searched the area and could not locate any suspicious persons.
- A 45-year-old East Maloney Road woman reported that two male juveniles were at her home while she was at work without permission on Friday. Police handled the situation without incident.
- On Friday, a Mount Run Road man reported being continually harassed by a known man. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- A vehicle driven by a 27-year-old DuBois man hit a vehicle in a parking space in the Commons parking lot on Friday.
- Employees of Snappy’s reported that a 61-year-old man was on the premises and possibly intoxicated on Saturday. Police located the man and determined he was not intoxicated and the situation was handled without incident.
- A 30-year-old Sierra Heights Road man lost control of his vehicle Saturday due to icy conditions on Sher De Lin Road, causing it to slide and hit the guiderail. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- A 33-year-old Quarry Avenue woman reported that she was being assaulted by her 33-year-old boyfriend while at his Sylvan Heights residence. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- A 17-year-old Treasure Lake boy lost control of his vehicle while traveling Saturday on Clear Run Road, causing it to crash sideways into a tree. No injuries were reported, police said.
- On Sunday, a 23-year-old Showers Road man reported someone took a Honda CR250 from his yard. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Sunday, Wal-Mart employees reported a known woman had committed return fraud at the store. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
