Joan Marie Mostyn, 77, a resident of Philipsburg, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 at her residence. Born Nov. 28, 1936 in Curwensville, she was a daughter of the late James and Inez (Ritter) Leech.
She was a graduate of the Curwensville High School and a 1958 graduate of Clearfield School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed needlepoint.
On Sept. 20, 1958 in Curwensville, she married William Francis Mostyn, whom died Sept. 24, 2000.
She’s survived by two daughters, Kimberly Loose and her husband, William of Fayetteville, NC and Theresa Stasko and her husband, Michael of Bellefonte; a son, William M. Mostyn and his wife, Renee of Munson; a sister, Donna Gillick of New Jersey; and six grandchildren, Adam Loose and his wife, Carol, Kelli Loose, Chelsea Stasko, Emily Stasko, Nicholas Mostyn and Nathaniel Mostyn.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Leech and Anne Lash.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation.
