Josephine F. Young, 90, of DuBois died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014 at Christ the King Manor.
Born Aug. 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pauline (Sinkiewich) Benny.
She was married to Roger Young. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2006.
She was a homemaker and worked at Sylvania in Brookville.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with her family, especially being with her grandchildren. She loved to knit and read.
She’s survived by her children, James Young and Marcy Ferraraccio and her husband, Frank, all of DuBois, and Thomas Young and his wife, Judy of Williamsport; her sister, Grace Gavazzi and her husband, Dick of Weedville; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her children, Dan and Becky Young and two sisters, Florence Dragunas and Isabelle Johnston.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
