State police at Clearfield
- An incident of theft from a motor vehicle occurred Wednesday on Utahville Road in Beccaria Township. During the incident, someone allegedly broke into the victim’s vehicle and removed Hydromorphine and Baclofen pills and assorted coins. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of burglary/motor vehicle theft occurred Tuesday on Golden Yoke Road in Brady Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a car from the victim’s garage. The car is a white Volkswagen Jetta with a Pennsylvania registration of GWC3620. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime Nov. 12-13 on North Centre Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a red, metal wagon from behind the victim’s residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An accident occurred Monday on the Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. William H. Moore of Philipsburg was traveling eastbound when he stopped for a vehicle turning left in front of him at Country Club Drive. Brenda S. Dunlap of Olanta was distracted and failed to observe that the Moore vehicle had stopped ahead of her. She subsequently rear-ended the Moore vehicle. The Dunlap vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene; the Moore vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. Dunlap was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking or disposition occurred Nov. 8 on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a cowbell from the back door of the Minit Mart convenience store.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of indecent assault occurred between October and December of 2013 in Horton Township. Further, a known 30-year-old man allegedly engaged in indecent contact with the victim. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were requested to check on a suspicious man on Nichols Street. The man had allegedly been standing near a business for more than an hour. Police made contact with the man who stated he was waiting for his girlfriend. The man was advised to move to another location at the request of the business.
- Police received a parking complaint that occurred on Temple Avenue near East Market Street. Further, a vehicle was parked in a reserved parking space.
- Police are investigating the alleged theft of several checks from a residence on McBride Street.
- Police received a traffic complaint on South Second Street. Further, a vehicle failed to stop for flashing signals on a school bus that was stopped to load students at St. Francis School.
- Police received a complaint about a dog that was running loose in the 1000 block of Turnpike Avenue. The owner of the dog was contacted, and the dog was returned home, police said.
- A 41-year-old Morrisdale man was arrested for DUI on South Second Street. The man was stopped for a traffic violation for traveling in the wrong direction on a one-way street. He was also found to be under the influence of alcohol. The man, police said, was released to a relative.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an abandoned vehicle at McDonald’s on Route 879.
- Police received a report about drug paraphernalia that was located by Wal-Mart employees.
- Police received a report about a possible hit-and-run accident at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business on Route 322. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police assisted the fire department with an alarm on Daisy Street Extension.
Curwensville Borough
- A Curwensville man was arrested for DUI on Tuesday in the area of State and Filbert streets.
- On Tuesday, police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment by communications.
DuBois City
- A two-vehicle accident occurred Monday at the intersection of South Brady Street and Washington Avenue. Further, a vehicle operated by a Falls Creek man was struck by a pick-up truck operated by a DuBois woman. The woman was transported to DuBois Penn Highlands for medical treatment. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
- On Monday, police received a report about a domestic disturbance in the 300 block of West Logan Avenue. Further, a woman and her brother had allegedly engaged in an argument over the condition in which he left their mother’s house in. No arrests were made as a result of the incident, police said.
- An alarm occurred Tuesday at Med Express on East DuBois Avenue. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- An alarm occurred Tuesday at Tractor Supply on Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about burglary incidents that occurred Tuesday in the 300 block of South State Street and at a business on South Jared Street. Upon investigation police determined that the burglaries were committed by the same person; a 31-year-old DuBois man was arrested and placed in the Clearfield County Jail.
