CLEARFIELD – Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Clearfield has been holding various events and celebrations to commemorate its 175th anniversary.
The final event will be a homecoming service on Nov. 16 during the 10 a.m. worship service. The church will be dedicating a new, state-of-the-art electronic tower chimes system, donated by Gail Kelly in memory of her husband Larry Kelly.
The choir, under the direction of Marjorie Kramer, director of music, will perform a specially commissioned choir anthem by local musician, Mark Wurster, highlighting the spiritual strength of Trinity.
Bishop Jeremiah Park of the Susquehanna Conference will also be in attendance to deliver the morning’s sermon. Penney Rahm, pastor at Trinity, will lead the service.
Following the service, a catered meal will be served. The Trinity Church Family invites everyone to join in celebrating its long, rich history in downtown Clearfield.
