State police at DuBois
- An Act 64 violation/DUI occurred Wednesday on Stanley Road in Sandy Township. During a traffic stop, the operator of a vehicle was allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Also, the operator was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and the passenger of a controlled substance. Charges, state police said, are currently pending laboratory analysis.
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred Monday at a residence in Snyder Township. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly took approximately 10 prescription pills from the victim’s bottle while visiting her residence. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Oct. 28 in the parking lot of the Holy Cross Church in Horton Township. During the incident, two Ridgway men allegedly engaged in a truck pull, which caused approximately $1,367 worth of damage to the asphalt surface. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- An accident occurred Wednesday on Shawmut Road south of Drummond Road in Horton Township. Brett A. Himes of Brockport was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a right-hand curve. His vehicle then exited the roadway on the west side, entered a ditch and impacted an embankment. Upon impact the Himes vehicle overturned once before coming to a rest in an upright position.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were notified about a motorist who was allegedly driving recklessly. Police were able to get behind the vehicle but did not observe any violations.
- Police observed a male who was loading scrap metal into a vehicle. Police questioned the male as to who had given him permission to obtain the metal. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police were dispatched to East Locust Street for an elderly male who was to be walking around without any shoes on. Police made contact with the male and while speaking to him, family members arrived and took custody of him.
- Police received a parking complaint on Leavy Avenue.
- Police received a report about drug paraphernalia located on Turnpike Avenue.
- Police received a report about a false alarm on South Second Street.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of coins from a residence.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a phone scam. Further, the caller told a resident that their computer had been hacked and wanted them to provide its information.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment involving unwanted calls from a cellular phone.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of an individual on Clarendon Avenue.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred along South Second Street.
- Police assisted with a psychological emergency at a residence along Park Avenue Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged verbal domestic dispute at a residence in the Hillsdale area.
- Police received a report about a minor traffic accident along Route 879. Further, a female operator had struck a deer while it was on the roadway. No injuries were reported and towing wasn’t required, police said.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle.
