HARRISBURG (EYT) – CNN and ABC News are projecting that Democratic candidate Tom Wolf has won his bid to become the next governor of Pennsylvania.

Projections show Wolf as the winner over Republican incumbent Tom Corbett.

During the administration of Gov. Robert P. Casey, Wolf served on an economic development board and on the Pennsylvania Legislative Commission on Urban Schools. He also served under Gov. Ed Rendell as the Secretary of Revenue of Pennsylvania.

Wolf is chairman of his family-owned business, The Wolf Organization Inc., a building-product company specializing in kitchen cabinets. He stepped down as CEO at the end of December of 2013 to focus on his gubernatorial campaign.

Corbett, the 46th Governor of Pennsylvania, was first elected Governor in 2010 and was sworn into office on Jan. 18, 2011.
