Frank E. Gogley, 79, a resident of Clearfield, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
Born Oct. 7, 1935 in Jennerstown, he was the son of the late Frank M. and Alice (Ardery) Gogley.
He was a 1952 graduate of the Clearfield High School. He received a degree in computers while serving in the military. He was an Airman First Class in the U.S. Air Force in Korea.
He was also an Alaskan state trooper and a head corrections officer in Bordentown, NJ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and painting.
He was a non-denomination Christian.
On Nov. 14, 1964 in New Jersey, he married Frances M. (Remboske) Gogley, who survives at home.
He’s survived by a son, Frank L. Gogley and his wife, Dana of Curwensville; a daughter, Michelle Yates of California; and step-children, William Yates, Ronald Yates, Gary Yates, Patricia Yates, Sharon Yates and Barbara Malinak.
He’s also survived by a brother, David Gogley of Alabama; two sisters, Betty Walker of Hershey and Joann Graham and her husband, David of Clearfield; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his special companions, Scooter and Sheba.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public viewing.
