ST. MARYS – The Elk County Toastmasters Club will hold its annual open house event at 7 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Community Education Council in downtown St. Mary’s.
Three notable speakers to be in the “spotlight” for the evening’s speech contest are Cory Straub, a long-time member and “guiding light” of the club; Dale Fox, owner of SmartFox & Associates and a frequent public speaker; and Mason Catalone, a new young member aspiring to leadership positions in public service.
Visitors will experience what it means to be a Toastmaster, where members develop leadership and public speaking skills that promotes career development and achievement of life goals.
While Toastmasters meetings are open to the public, the group makes an annual special effort to reach out and provide an opportunity to come out and watch your local Toastmasters in action.
The local group is one of 14,650 clubs spread across 126 countries, with a total membership of 313,000 individuals.
