CLEARFIELD – In a few weeks, Santa Claus will be welcomed back for the Clearfield YMCA Christmas parade at 12 p.m. Dec. 6.
The Clearfield YMCA invites any and all organizations to take part in this long-standing traditional Christmas parade. The line-up will be on North Third Street between Reed and Locust streets.
The parade will step off on the corner of Third and Locust streets in downtown Clearfield. Participants will proceed on North Third Street, turning right onto Market Street, right onto North Second Street and right onto Pine Street.
Each parade entry is asked to be creatively decorated utilizing the theme. There isn’t any participation fee; however, organizations are asked to register, so a line-up can be organized for the parade.
Santa will arrive to Clearfield via a fire truck and then after the parade, all children with parents are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the YMCA gym. Free hot chocolate, cookies, a stocking and photo opportunities with Santa will be a part of the fun.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to please complete a registration form available at the YMCA. Also, please contact Don Herres at 814-765-5521 for more information.
