Margaret M. “Madge” Pajonk, 94, of Smokerun died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014 at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born Jan. 6, 1920 in Smokerun, a daughter of the late Marko G. and Magdalene (Kosmac) Zugec.
She was a parishioner of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey. She was a homemaker.
On Sept. 4, 1943, in Holy Trinity Church, Ramey, she married Steve S. “Smiling Steve” Pajonk. He preceded her in death Feb. 23, 1994.
She’s survived by a son, Steve and his wife, Kitty; a daughter, Trina and her husband, John; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Sally Thomchick, Katie Finch and Annie Guess and six brothers, Stephen, Louis, Andrew and George Opalisky and Mark L. Zuges.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
