Ruth R. Nelson, 56, of Alexandria, Va., passed on to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014 at her residence. Born June 15, 1958 in Philipsburg, she was the beloved daughter of Fred and Irene Gradowski Rasdorf of Forest.
She was a graduate of the West Branch Area High School in 1976. She spent 30 years working for the federal government in Washington, D.C.
Surviving are her son, Christopher “Chris” Nelson and her four brothers, William, Daniel, Fred Jr. and David Rasdorf.
Services will be held at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Va.
Additional services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Forest, with Pastor Kenneth Zitsch officiating. Burial will be in the family cemetery, Forest.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
The Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, is serving the family.
