CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners voted to approve the bid for the exterior sealing of the courthouse at yesterday’s regular meeting.

The commissioners received one bid for the project, which was from ARS Inc. of Bridgeville, in the amount of $46,400. ARS is currently working on an exterior painting project at the courthouse.

When asked prior to the vote, Solicitor Kim Kesner said the commissioners normally table the bid(s) for the architect to review. However, he said it was ultimately up to the commissioners’ discretion.

The commissioners subsequently decided to approve the ARS bid due to its familiarly with the exterior work taking place at the courthouse. It was also noted that ARS would address any masonry issues while completing the sealing project.
