Arlene L. Williams, 71, of North Lauderdale, Fla. and formerly of Grampian, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014.
Born Oct. 26, 1942, she was the daughter of William F. and Sylvia J. (Ellinger) Hess.
She worked as a home health aide for various companies. She was Protestant by faith.
On Nov. 14, 1959 in Grampian, she wed Andrew D. Williams, who survives of North Lauderdale, Fla.
Mrs. Williams is survived by five children, Vicki S. Barber of North Lauderdale, Fla., Lisa J. Sharpe and her husband, Gary of State College, Dennis F. Williams of Rocky Mount, NC, Sherri Williams of Clearfield and Tammi H. Huff and her husband, James of Erie, Mich.
She’s also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and five brothers and sisters, Sandra Von Gunden and her husband, Dean of Curwensville, Donald Hess and his wife, Donna of Hyde, David Hess and his wife, Sandy and Jeanne Hand and her husband, John, both of Grampian, and Mona Hamm and her husband, Don of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
