State police at DuBois
- An accident occurred Monday on the DuBois-Rockton Road in Brady Township. Further, Brooke A. Angeletti of DuBois was traveling northbound when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a left-hand curve. Her vehicle subsequently traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned onto its side. Angeletti sustained minor injuries; her passenger wasn’t injured in the accident. Angeletti was cited for the accident.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of retail theft occurred Monday at the Minit Mart on North Front Street in Philipsburg Borough. Further, a known juvenile allegedly removed pudding cups, cakes and candy without paying for them. The juvenile, state police said, was cited for retail theft through the district court.
- The theft of a utility trailer occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday on Interstate 99 near mile-marker 61.5 southbound in Worth Township. The victim told state police that he’d left his trailer to his brother several weeks prior. His brother then had allegedly left the trailer along I-99 after being stopped for a lighting issue on Oct. 9. State police attempted to contact the owner of the trailer with negative results and the trailer was stolen from along I-99. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred in the parking lot of the DuBois Business School in Rush Township. Further, someone allegedly scratched the victim’s 2002 Dodge Neon.
- An incident of harassment occurred Monday on Buttonwood Street in Unionville Borough. Further, a male and female allegedly engaged in a verbal argument. During the argument, the male allegedly grabbed the female’s wrist before letting go and leaving the residence. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were requested to check on the welfare of a male who was slumped over the wheel of his vehicle on River Road. Upon arrival police found that he was placing money into his wallet.
- Police assisted an individual along East Market Street.
- Police received a report about an assault that allegedly occurred on South Fourth Street. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Police stopped the operator of a vehicle for a red light violation. During the stop, police found active warrants for his arrest from several agencies. While attempting to place him into custody, he attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by police before he could do so. Police were able to place the male into custody and transported him to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a noise complaint on Spruce Street. Upon arrival police were unable to detect any excessive noise.
- Police received a report about a vehicle being struck while it was parked along Temple Avenue. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and vehicle information wasn’t obtained, said police.
- Police handled an alleged harassment complaint along River Road.
- Police were contacted about a vehicle that was being operated without proper registration and insurance.
- Police arrested a male along Bridge Street after he was allegedly observed walking while highly intoxicated. He was transported to the CCJ.
- Police assisted juvenile probation officers with taking a female into custody after she had allegedly removed her home detention device and fled her residence. She was eventually located hiding near South Third Street.
- Police were requested to assist emergency personnel with a combative fall patient along West Front Street.
- Police responded to an activated alarm at a business along South Front Street. The alarm, police said, was activated by an employee.
- A vehicle struck a porch and a natural gas line, which caused a line break and gas emission in the area of Daisy Street and Sansone Avenue. The operator of the vehicle fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police, however, were able to intercept the suspect vehicle while responding to the scene. The investigation into the accident is continuing, said police. Police were assisted by the fire and gas companies.
- Police assisted with a patient who was having medical issues on North Fourth Street.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a bike from the Clearfield YMCA. The bike was later recovered by police.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief on Race Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft at the Wal-Mart Supercenter. Charges, police said, are currently pending at this time.
- Police received a noise complaint on Highview Drive. Upon arrival police determined it was a transformer and notified Penelec.
- Police received a report about a custody dispute. The dispute, police said, was resolved without charges being filed.
