State police at DuBois
- An incident of theft from a motor vehicle occurred Oct. 1 in Penfield. During the incident, a known suspect allegedly forcibly removed numerous equipment items from a truck tractor by cutting and stripping them from it. Initial damage, state police said, is estimated at $1,500.
- An incident of theft of a motor vehicle occurred sometime Friday or Saturday on Parrish Road in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly stole a red Honda TRX 300 from the victim’s yard.
- An incident of simple assault occurred Saturday on Blose Hill Road in Henderson Township. Further, the victim was allegedly assaulted by several people while attempting to break up a fight at a party. An unknown actor then allegedly picked up a beer keg and struck the victim in the face. The victim, state police said, suffered a broken nose and a laceration on his nose that required stiches.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of DUI occurred Oct. 1 on Ernestville Road in Rush Township. During the incident, a male left the Osceola Mills VFW and allegedly missed his driveway. After that he allegedly attempted to turn around in a cul-de-sac and drove into the woods. The male, state police said, was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of DUI occurred Sunday on South Michael Street in St. Marys. Further, state police conducted a traffic stop for several violations and found a 26-year-old St. Marys woman to be under the influence. Charges, state police said, are currently pending blood test results.
- An incident of criminal mischief occurred Friday or Saturday at a Lincoln Street residence in Jay Township. During the incident, someone allegedly put two old pork rib bones on the hood of the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in his driveway. No damage occurred as a result, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police conducted a traffic stop on Route 879, which resulted in a warrant service.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of money from a bank account. Upon investigation police found the incident to be civil in nature.
- Police received a report about an alarm at a business on Industrial Park Road. However, police were cancelled while responding to the scene.
- Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call on Lawrence Avenue. Further, police found a Verizon technician was working on the phone line.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments. The incident, police said, was handled at the scene.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment. Further, police resolved the issue.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Lick Run Road. Four individuals, police said, were transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
- Police recovered lost property in the area of Fulton Street.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on Mill Road.
- Police received a report about an alarm on Riverview Road.

- Police received a report about a missing firearm. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.

- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male along Route 322. However, police couldn’t locate the male.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on Route 879. Upon arrival police spoke with the male and found he was just walking.
DuBois City
- On Friday, police received a report about a hit-and-run accident on Olive Avenue. Upon arrival police found that a vehicle struck a fence and city sign. Police collected evidence at the scene and have a suspect; the accident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an accident that occurred Friday in a business parking lot on West Scribner Avenue. Upon arrival police found that a Kia struck a trailer parked in the lot. No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained minor damage, police said.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident Friday at the intersection of West DuBois Avenue and Juniata Street. Upon arrival police found that the operator of an Audi was attempting a left-hand turn onto Juniata Street when the operator of a Mercury pulled out. The Mercury subsequently struck the Audi, causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries were reported, police said.
- On Saturday police learned from state police that a female who had an active warrant was inside a business on Liberty Boulevard. Upon responding to the scene, police took the female into custody. She was subsequently released into the custody of the state police.
- Police received a report about a male who was allegedly intoxicated and lying on the ground Saturday in the 100 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival police found the male to be highly intoxicated, and he was arrested for public drunkenness. The male was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- On Sunday, police received a report about an alleged theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in the 400 block of West Spruce Alley. The victim told police that someone entered their vehicle and removed cash. The incident, police said, remains under investigation. Police would also like to remind residents to keep their vehicles locked at all times.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft Sunday at a business in the 100 block of North Main Street. Upon investigation police found that a female took multiple items from the business. Police filed retail theft charges against the female; the stolen items were recovered by police.
- During the week of Sept. 28 – Oct. 4, police investigated five motor vehicle accidents and issued 49 traffic citations and 11 written traffic warnings.
Sandy Township
- A false alarm occurred Friday at Hawbakers.
- On Friday, a 29-year-old South Brady Street resident reported that someone entered his vehicle and took $560 worth of items. The vehicle, police said, was locked and there wasn’t any sign of forced entry.
- On Friday, a 25-year-old woman reported that while she was home on leave from the U.S. Navy, a known 25-year-old DuBois woman took her debit card and charged $2,923.24 on her account. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- A Lincoln Drive resident reported that her 14-year-old grandson was unruly and threatened to hurt himself on Friday. When police arrived at the scene, the boy was holding a pick ax. Police were able to convince him to give them the ax, and he was transported for an evaluation.
- On Saturday, police responded to the area of the Wasson School for shots allegedly being fired. Upon arrival they located a vehicle occupied by three men. When they were stopped and questioned, police found that two passengers were fining a weapon behind the school. Charges, police said, are currently pending further investigation.
- A 55-year-old DeLancey man was traveling on Wayne Road when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to strike an embankment and overturn on Saturday. The man, police said, was transported to DuBois Penn Highlands and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
- A Shaffer Road resident reported that he heard a crash in front of his house on Saturday. When he investigated, he discovered that a vehicle went off the road, hit his mailbox and an underground phone/cable box and came within a few inches of hitting his house. The operator of the vehicle, he said, then fled the scene.
- A 49-year-old DuBois woman reported she backed into a dumpster in a parking lot on South Eighth Street on Saturday. The vehicle sustained damage to its fender and rear window, police said, adding no injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
- On Saturday, a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old Grampian woman failed to stop to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Punxsutawney man that was stopped in traffic on Route 255. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
- On Saturday, Treasure Lake Security reported that someone damaged a street sign on Treasure Lake Road.
- A 19-year-old Meadville woman told police that while standing outside the Holiday Inn Express an unknown male approached her and began a conversation with her. He then allegedly began making unwanted advances and would not stop when asked to. Also, the male allegedly followed her through the hotel and back to her room, where she was able to get away from him. Police located the 55-year-old Canadian man in his room at the hotel. Charges for harassment, police said, were filed against him.
- A false alarm occurred Saturday at Triangle Tech.
- Wal-Mart employees observed a 15-year-old DuBois boy attempting to take Pokemon cards without paying for them on Saturday. Charges, police said, are pending at this time.
- A Treasure Lake resident reported someone toilet papered a neighbor’s home on Saturday.
- A false alarm occurred Saturday at Sears.
