State police at DuBois
- An incident of theft by unlawful taking occurred sometime between Sept. 16 and Sept. 23 on Irish Mary Road in Washington Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a .22-caliber pistol from the victim’s truck. The pistol, state police said, is valued at approximately $300. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An accident occurred Thursday on the Yellow Brick Road in Winslow Township. Further, a Falls Creek boy was traveling south when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a sharp, left-hand curve. The boy told state police that a deer crossed the roadway in front of him as he entered the curve, which caused him to apply his brakes. His vehicle slid sideways to the left and fishtailed back to the right, exiting the roadway and hitting a ditch and embankment. Both the boy and his passenger were wearing their seatbelts and not injured in the accident. Towing services assisted state police at the scene.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged DUI in the area of South Front Street. Police responded to the area; however, they were unable to locate the individual.
- Police assisted with a psychological emergency on South Second Street. The patient, police said, was transported to the hospital.
- Police received a report about an activated alarm at a local business. Upon arrival police found that an employee had accidentally activated the alarm.
- Police arrested a male for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after receiving a report about an alleged altercation on Daisy Street. The male, police said, was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police received a reckless driving complaint that occurred on Spruce Street. The vehicle, police said, was gone upon arrival.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident at the truck stop.
- Police received a report about a structure fire at Sid’s Sub Shop on South Second Street.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment.

- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing at a residence on Bowman’s Hill. Upon arrival police searched the area but couldn’t locate anyone.

- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief at a local business. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.

- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at a local business along Route 879. Further, police requested the operator to leave the business.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle at a local business on the Clearfield – Shawville Highway.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment that occurred in the area of Schofield Street.
- Police received a report about a property dispute.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of fraud. Further, someone allegedly used the victim’s credit card without authorization.
Sandy Township
- Police have received multiple reports regarding the operators of all- and utility-terrain vehicles and unlicensed motorcycles speeding on Kilmer Road and South Main Street. Police have increased patrols in these areas and offenders will be prosecuted.
- On Wednesday, police received a report about a possible break-in at a Circle Road residence. Upon arrival police located the suspect, a 27-year-old DuBois man, who had allegedly been seen crawling into a residence through a window and then leaving the same way. Police determined the residence belonged to the man’s mother and he had permission to enter it. The situation was handled without incident.
- A 31-year-old Tozier Avenue woman reported Wednesday that two unknown men came to her residence, stating they were from Penelec and needed to see her electric bill and for her to sign paperwork. The woman, police said, requested ID and the men declined to present it. The men also tried to keep her from closing the door but eventually left the scene. Both men were described as wearing dark blue golf shirts; one was wearing a black baseball cap and the other man had acne on his face and blonde hair. The men were gone from the area upon police arrival.

- On Thursday, a Wasson Avenue resident reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle that was parked at her residence.
- A Hand Street woman reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle that was parked at her residence on Thursday. Police would like to advise residents not to leave valuable items inside their vehicles and to ensure they are locked at all times.
- A 22-year-old Reynoldsville woman reported that while she was at work at Homewood Suites on Thursday, a vehicle struck and damaged her own. The operator, she said, left the scene.
- On Thursday, a vehicle driven by an 81-year-old DuBois woman was slowing to make a turn off of Route 255 onto Platt Road. At the time, a vehicle driven by a 35-year-old Byrnedale man was unable to stop to avoid hitting the woman’s vehicle. The vehicle traveling behind him, driven by a 20-year-old Emporium woman, was also unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the first vehicle. All parties were cleared by emergency personnel and one of the vehicles was towed from the scene, police said.
- On Thursday, a 39-year-old DuBois woman reported getting into a text-message argument with a 49-year-old Treasure Lake man and it became threatening in nature. Police handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a false alarm at Pizza Hut on Thursday.
