Mary G. Ianaro, 94, of Clearfield died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014 at her home.
She was born Feb. 13, 1920 in Olyphant, a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Klapatch) George.
Mrs. Ianaro retired from McGregor’s Sportswear Manufacturing. She had also been employed at Airplane and Marine Company. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Her main joy in life was her family, by spoiling them with her cooking, acting as the family seamstress or spending time caring for them, especially the children.
She was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield
She’s survived by her daughter, Mary ‘Toby’ K. Reinke of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Eric Reinke and his wife, Bonnie, Britt Reinke and his wife, Sandy and Heather Reinke; six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Chloe, Shannon, Sofia, Gianni and Santino; two brothers, Michael and Steve; two sisters, Patricia and Barbara; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Vincent Ianaro, on May 8, 1991 and whom she wed Sept. 27, 1942 in Columbus, Ga.; a son, Vincent James Ianaro; five sisters, Ann, Helen, Nellie, Frances and Kathy; and five brothers, Paul, John, Mickey, Buddy and Albert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, with Father Brandon Kleckner as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front St., Clearfield.
