Police Investigating Knife Incident at Clearfield Junior-Senior High School

HYDE – A male student allegedly possessed a knife and directed threats toward a classmate yesterday afternoon at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School, according to Lawrence Township police.

The student was found in possession of the knife during the lunch period. He was taken to the principal’s office where police were advised he’d allegedly threatened a classmate by saying he’d “cut” him, police said.

School officials confiscated the knife from the student, according to police. The student was released to his mother and later placed in a juvenile facility after meeting with Crisis personnel at the township police station.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
