Orland O. Penvose, 86, of Luthersburg died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Oct. 2, 1927 in Brockway, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Saline) Penvose.
On June 27, 1953, he married Dolores (Vilkinofsky) Penvose. She survives.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp where he served during World War II. He retired from Nupp Printing in Sykesville after more than 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Sykesville, where he had been a member since his youth. He loved to watch all sports and enjoyed golfing.
He’s survived by three brothers, Ronald Penvose and his wife, Rose of Buffalo, NY, Richard Penvose and his wife, Joyce of Sykesville and Neil Penvose and his wife, Michelle of Harrisburg and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sevilla and Mary Helen and one brother, Lester.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Tharren J. Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
