Major League Baseball Advanced Media announced that State College Spikes infielder Jake Stone has been named the New York-Penn League’s Player of the Week for the week ending August 24, 2014.
Stone went 8-for-21 with four doubles, a home run and nine runs batted in from August 18-24, helping propel the Spikes offense as they clinched their second consecutive New York-Penn League Pinckney Division title.
