Gertrude A. Gearhart, 71, of DuBois died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014 at the home of her daughter in Punxsutawney.
Born Oct. 25, 1942 in Rockton, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Cecelia (Shubert) Gelnett.
She was employed by the Hampton Inn of DuBois since its inception 18 years ago and she took great pride in her job. She was also a homemaker who cherished being with her family and friends.
She is survived by three children, Robert Gearhart and his wife, Michele of DuBois; Donna Campagnola and her husband, Rodney of Punxsutawney; and Nancy Shelton and her husband, Jay of Farmville, Va.; a sister, Mary King of Farmville, Va.; six grandchildren, Amber and Colton Gearhart; Teia Campagnola and Ashley Emhoff and her husband, Kevan; and Amanda and Justin Shelton; and three great-grandchildren, Preston Powell, Sawyer Smathers and Evangeline Gearhart.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Gearhart) six brothers and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
Burial will follow in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
