Library Accepting Registration for Fall Story Sessions

CLEARFIELD – The Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library is currently accepting registrations for its fall story session.

In The Community Around Me, pre-school aged children will discover a number of organizations around Clearfield.

The PA Forward | Pennsylvania Libraries initiative supports the efforts of libraries across the state as leaders in community education.

The five literacies of PA Forward will help guide discussions within the fall story session theme. With each week’s special community presentation, children will experience at least one of the five literacies.

The six-week program begins the week of Sept. 8.  Shaw Public Library is offering baby time to children ages 6 months to 2 years of age on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Children, ages 3 through 5 years, will meet on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11: 30 a.m. or from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for a series of special presentations.

Parents and guardians may contact the library to enroll in the programs listed above. A calendar with dates and times for each event will be available for all registered families. The calendar will include each presenter and the featured topic.
