Club Holds 38th Annual Auto Show

CLEARFIELD – Last weekend, the Central Mountains Region Antique Automobile Club of America held its 38th annual Antique and Custom Auto Show at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.

This year’s show was sponsored by FORD® and Dotts Motor Co. of Clearfield. Both displayed vehicles at the auto show.

Auto owners displayed 73 cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles and trikes. This year’s auto show was a judged event; owners were requested to have a fire extinguisher to qualify for judging.

Tim Winters Enterprises provided entertainment and there was also an indoor/outdoor flea market. Ricco’s Concessions and Steak on a Stick offered attendees an array of foods.

Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery displayed this year’s wine, featuring the club’s Car of the Year, a Charles J. Ross 1976 Buick LeSabre. It also displayed the main wine, Roger Dodger Delaware, which featured a new label.

Both wines were available for sale at the auto show and now at any Starr Hill Vineyard & Winery location. The club will make a percentage from the sale of each bottle of wine.

A moment of silence was given in honor of Charles J. Ross, the club’s past president, who died last week. President Ray Coudriet offered words and thanked attendees for visiting the auto show.

Tony Grenys, Woodland, was the 50/50 winner and numerous others won door prizes.

The club would like to thank everyone for making a successful auto show. Next year’s auto show will be Aug. 23, 2015.
