On Friday, Aug. 22, the North Central Golf Tournament will take place at the Beechwoods Golf Course. The shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. The charge is only $65 per golfer, which includes golf, cart, prizes, lunch and dinner.

Dam Scramble Trail Run

Stand Up Paddling Classes

Every Tuesday through Aug. 26, there will be stand up paddling classes at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Bimini Lake Boat Launch at Treasure Lake. The Clever Cricket Theater Company

Every Wednesday through Aug. 27 and then Aug. 28-29, the Reitz Theater, in partnership with Quiet Creek Herb Farm and the Arc of Clearfield/Jefferson Counties, will present The Clever Cricket Theater Company. It will take place from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
It will be changing the face of disabilities one act at a time. This joint project offers a chance for individuals with disabilities to experience the creativity, expression and self-development offered by the theatrical arts.
From acting to set decoration to costumes, folks will have a chance to experience the full range of theater activities and to learn the valuable skills taught by each. This is a great chance to create and to express.
All of it leading up to a performance that is sure to enlighten and entertain. Showings will be Aug. 27 and 29 at the Reitz Theater in DuBois and Aug. 28 at Quiet Creek Herb Farm in Brookville.
