Community Action Announces Winter Coat Project

CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) is seeking donations of clean, gently-used fall and winter coats for all age groups for its eighth annual Winter Coat Project.

Items available for distribution include coats, hats, gloves, scarves and boots. In order for individuals/families to receive coat(s) and additional items, they will need to make an appointment with Bonnie Boop.

The Coat Closet will be distributing items between September and the beginning of April. Donations are always needed especially children’s sizes, infant to teenager. Also, men’s and women’s large and plus-size coats are needed.

Donations, either monetary or coats, can be dropped off at the CPCA office on 207 E. Cherry St., Clearfield. For any questions or to schedule an appointment, please contact Bonnie at 814-765-1551 or 800-822-2610, Ext. 1112.

Last year, the CPCA served more than 15,900 unduplicated individuals through its vast array of services. The CPCA’s primary services includes housing services, weatherization, rental housing, case management, food services, heating and utility assistance, employment assistance and training, consumer information and referral and transportation services.
