CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) recently received a donation from the “Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub Team Burger Challenge” that was held Aug. 2 at the Clearfield County Fair.

Four teams competed in the challenge with the proceeds benefitting the “Wounded Warrior Project” and the CPCA’s Clearfield County food pantries program. The event raised more than $2,000 in total with $1,000 going for the Clearfield County food pantries.

This donation will be used to supplement the food pantries program needs and to purchase items that will be given to area recipients. The CPCA has provided oversight to 10 food pantries, located in Clearfield County, for more than 30 years.  More than 6,400 Clearfield County residents benefited from food pantry services in the past year.

For more information on the food pantries or any CPCA programs, please call 814-765-1551 or 800-822-2610.
