CURWENSVILLE – The board of directors and the special events committee for the Curwensville Community Center will host an Oktoberfest Family Festival on Oct. 4-5.
The festival will celebrate the arrival of fall in the region with an array of indoor and outdoor activities. It will feature family games, contests, food, regional merchants, art and artisan displays, live entertainment and fireworks.
Oktoberfest will be held at the Curwensville Community Center and the adjacent Curwensville Area School District sports fields.
Organizers are still seeking brochure sponsors, which are $50. Also, sponsors will be added to online Oktoberfest promotions with a donation of $100 or more.
Social/service organizations and businesses are invited to set up a 10-foot by 10-foot space at the festival. All spaces will be reserved on a first-come, first serve basis upon receipt of a completed registration form and applicable donations.
A weekend space donation is $75 for for-profit organizations and $50 for non-profit organizations.
On Saturday, the festival will open at 9 a.m. and close with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. It will be open from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Sunday and get under way with an indoor brunch.
