CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) has announced its third annual night golf tournament will be held Aug. 23 at the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club in Clearfield.
The tournament will start with registration at 7 p.m. and golfing at approximately 8 p.m. The tournament will include nine holes with glow–n-the-dark golf balls, glow tees, and lighted fairways.
Registration will be $65 per golfer and $250 for a team of four. It will include golf, car rental, a picnic dinner and opportunities to win pro-shop credits.
This year’s tournament will benefit the Clearfield County Food Pantry System. The CPCA has operated 10 food pantries in Clearfield County for more than 30 years. Also, more than 6,400 Clearfield County residents benefited from food pantry services in the past year.
Throughout the Clearfield area, there are many individuals who are lacking proper nutrition due to their poverty situation. The food pantries’ budget funds are used to purchase the best food possible while trying to purchase the largest quantity so more families can be served.
Meeting the needs of all who seek service is important to the CPCA and to allot adequate amounts to each. It is the goal of the CPCA to continue this much needed service well into the future.
