Forest Avenue Bridge Replacement Complete

Bridge to open this afternoon

STATE COLLEGE – The Forest Avenue Bridge on Route 1005 in Centre County will open to traffic this afternoon.

A portion of Route 1005 was closed July 14 to allow crews from PennDOT Centre County to replace the structure. The finalized project allows for the bridge to be removed from Centre County’s structurally deficient list.

The bridge spans Nittany Creek on Route 1005 in Walker Township, about 1.5 miles north of the intersection with Route 550.
