James F. Vicary, 68, of Clearfield died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 at Clearfield Penn Highlands. He was born Dec. 23, 1945 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Frank and Viola (Catherine) Vicary.
Mr. Vicary was employed by Bob’s Army & Navy Store for 25 years. He then went to work for Gun’s and Shooting Supplies ‘R Us in Clearfield.
Mr. Vicary also enjoyed doing electrical work for many friends and family. Two of the biggest joys in his life were his dog Max and his 1969 Chevelle. A veteran of the armed services, Mr. Vicary served with the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his son, Dennis Vicary and his wife, Mag of Curwensville and two granddaughters, Stephanie and Jayna Vicary.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judith G. (Goss) Vicary.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st St., Clearfield.
