Dennis James Peck, 60, of Falls Creek died Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his home. Born Sept. 27, 1953 in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late James B. and Anna B. (Gatchie) Peck.
On Nov. 12, 1993, he married Diana L. (Rokosky) Peck. She survives.
Mr. Peck was the owner and operator of DuBois Car Care Center. He was also very active in the Falls Creek community.
He served as president of the Falls Creek Borough Council. He was a member of the Falls Creek Park Board and the Falls Creek Redevelopment Authority. He was the chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Committee.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 965, the Pottersdale “Stagger Inn” Camp and the Irish Mary’s Hunting Club.
He’s survived by five children, Craig R. Peck and his wife, Amanda and Laura A. Missos and her husband, Peter, both of Valencia; Kevin J. Peck and his wife, Elizabeth of Allison Park; Emily K. Peck of Conway; and Jacob A. Peck of the U.S. Army stationed in Hawaii.
He’s also survived by a brother, Ronald Peck; four granddaughters, Anya Peck, Marina Missos, Mackenzie Peck and Maddison Peck; and a grandson, Brandon Knochel.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Peck.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
