James E. Ashcroft, 57, of Osceola Mills died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at his home.
Born Sept. 24, 1956 in Philipsburg, he was the son of Allen G. and Helen K. “Kay” (Vincer) Ashcroft of Sandy Ridge.
Mr. Ashcroft was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills.
He was a 1974 graduate of the Philipsburg–Osceola High School. He also graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in forest science from Penn State University in 1978. He worked for Lezzer Lumber in State College for 28 years.
In addition to his parents, he’s survived by three sisters, Theresa Ashcroft of Clearfield, Sharon Hagyard and her husband, James of Philipsburg and Barbara Mullane and her husband, James of Apex, NC and two brothers, Lloyd Ashcroft of Hagerstown, Md. and Allen Michael “Mike” Ashcroft and his wife, Jessica of Osceola Mills.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Osceola Mills with the Rev. Father Joseph P. Staszewski officiating. Burial will be at the Umbria Cemetery in Osceola Mills.
There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills.
