Obituary Notice: Ronald M. London

Ronald M. London, 72, of DuBois died Monday, July 21, 2014 at his residence.

Born on May 22, 1943, he was the son of the late Kenneth M. London I and Mary C. (Carrier) London.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.

On May 28, 1966, he married Jeanne R. (Batherst) London.  She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 2012.

He was the owner/operator of Ron’s Repair Shop on Dixon Avenue for 20 years.  Prior to that, he worked on General Motor cars for 20 years at Osburn’s and his family-owned London Brothers Auto Aligning.

He was a life member of the Temple Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Balsa Buster RC Aeromodeling Club, the Academy of Model Arenoautics, the Corvair Club of America and the Super Chevy Association, where he won the national title for three consecutive years for restoration of his 1965 Corvair.

He is survived by two sons, Leonard R. London and Ronald W. London, both of DuBois; a sister, Alice “Kay’ Buriak of Duncannon; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth M. London II; a twin brother, Renald London; and an infant brother, Jackie London.

There will be no public visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 4 at the Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Kevin Orndorff officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard at the church.
