Judith J. Foster, 69, of Philipsburg died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her residence.

Born Dec. 4, 1944 in Portage, she was a daughter of the late Verneda Pearl (Butterworth) Brown English, the step-daughter of the late Allen F. English and the daughter of the late Arthur Brown.

She was a member of the Son-Rise Fellowship, Houtzdale; the Philipsburg VFW Auxiliary; and the West Decatur Sportsmen’s Club.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was always thinking of others before thinking of herself. She loved creative cooking and enjoyed painting ceramics and drawing.

On Sept. 21, 1961 in Bigler, she married William Horatio Foster, who survives of Shiloh.

In addition to her husband, she’s survived by two daughters, Marsha Young and her husband, Richard of Woodland and Becky Perry and her husband, Timothy of Houtzdale and a son, William J. Foster of Woodland.

She’s also survived by one sister, Joyce Lafountain and her husband, Ray of Florida; six brothers, Gary English and his wife, Becky of Omaha, Neb., Ronald English and his wife, Sonya of Philipsburg, Jerry English and his wife, Stephanie of Munson, Art Brown and his wife, Barb of Grove City, Tim Brown and his wife, Karen of Sharpsville and Phillip Brown and his wife, Janet of New Castle; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and step-father, she was preceded in death by an infant twin; two infant siblings; and two brothers, Allen English and George Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ, 219 Merrill St., Clearfield, with the Rev. Isaiah Krause and the Rev. Clare Pannebaker officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Friends will be received from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Saturday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St., Philipsburg.
