CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Paul Eugene Ulrich, 32, of Grove Avenue, Johnstown. Ulrich is wanted for failure to appear at plea and sentencing court on May 19.

On May 6, 2013, Patrolman C.D. Panebianco of the Lawrence Township police filed a criminal complaint against Ulrich. She charged him with retail theft and receiving stolen property.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Sept. 19, 2012, police received a report about a theft from a business located on Plaza Drive, Clearfield. Upon investigation it was found that Ulrich and two others had unlawfully removed items from the store that were valued at approximately $1,200.

It was also found that Ulrich and the two others had unlawfully removed items valued at approximately $900 from another Clearfield business.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 2, 2013, at which time all charges were held for court. On May 19, Ulrich failed to appear for plea and sentencing court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Ulrich is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has brown eyes and hair.
