FOX TOWNSHIP – A 20-year-old Kersey man, Robert D. Watts, died from injuries after his motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck Sunday on Boone Mountain Road in Fox Township, reported the state police at Ridgway.
Watts was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane. A truck operated by Alan J. Mazzaferro, 61, of Weedville was traveling westbound at the same time, state police said.
Watts’ motorcycle subsequently collided with the front end of the Mazzaferro truck while cresting a hill in the roadway. Watts suffered fatal injuries; he was wearing a helmet, state police said.
Mazzaferro and his passenger, a female juvenile, were both wearing their seatbelts. They were not injured as a result of the accident. State police were assisted by the Fox Township Fire Department.
