BELLEFONTE — The Central Penn League Playoffs elimination bracket game between the Clearfield and Bellefonte American Legion baseball teams was suspended in the bottom of the third inning because of a thunderstorm Sunday evening.
The Bandits led the Chiefs 3-2 and had and two runners on base with two outs when the rains came.
The game will be resumed Monday at 6 p.m. at Governors Park, and the winner will travel to Beech Creek Tuesday to take on the No. 2 seed and lone unbeaten team left in the double-elimination tourney.
No. 1 seed Mifflin County and No. 3 seed DuBois are the other teams in contention for the title and a berth in the Region 7 Tournament.
As the host, Clearfield is guaranteed a berth in the double-elimination tourney that begins Saturday on diamonds at the Lawrence Township Recreation Park and Bigler.
