Blueprint Committee Thanks Curwensville Borough Council for Allocation

CURWENSVILLE – At last week’s meeting, the Curwensville Blueprint Committee expressed appreciation to the Curwensville Borough Council for the recent allocation of funds toward the community project.

While at an all-day training session at Clarion University on July 9, the committee learned there had been 626 responses on the community perceptions survey in June, reflecting an excellent community involvement. It was noted that Grampian/Penn Township will have additional survey forms available in the near future.

The next local event on the calendar is an open house presentation at Heritage Hall in Grampian on July 21 at 7 p.m.  The open house will be a repeat presentation of last month’s program in Curwensville and is targeted to Grampian, Penn and Bloom Township residents.

Committee members said they look forward to starting the process of hosting town meetings for the purpose of visualizing and focusing on specific projects and development needed in the region. They also would like input from residents over the next several months in setting priorities for a long-term revitalization plan.

The committee will have a presence at Curwensville Days in Irvin Park this week and members will be available to provide additional information and answer questions.
