CLEARFIELD – An “All Roads Lead to Lock Haven” event will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Lock Haven University’s Clearfield Campus, Founders’ Hall, Lower Lounge.
LHU has recently launched an Interdisciplinary Studies Degree Completion program that will allow students who have “stopped out” the opportunity to complete their degree.
What is the difference between stopping out and dropping out? Stopping out simply indicates that the student’s education was interrupted, for various reasons, and they could very well have intentions for continuing in the future.
The University is committed to helping those students turn “almost” into “I did!”, and is excited about this program. “This is an amazing opportunity for individuals who came so close to realizing their dreams, to turn them into reality,” stated Tyana Lange, Associate Provost for Enrollment Management.
“Students may think attaining their degree is impossible with certain obstacles that they face. The Interdisciplinary Studies Degree, in addition to General Education credit changes, provides students with much more flexibility and customization, and the time to finish your degree has truly never been better.”
People with a Bachelor’s degree are more likely to: be employed, have employer-provided health care coverage, make healthier lifestyle choices, move up the socioeconomic ladder, earn 10 times more than someone without, and have more career growth potential.
