STATE COLLEGE – St. Joseph Institute announces the appointment of Heather Dick as clinical supervisor.
In this position, Dick will work with Jenny Sheetz, the Institute’s founder, to implement the clinical program for addiction treatment that is gaining national recognition.
Dick has more than 13 years of experience in clinical services. Also, she is a licensed clinical social worker in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
During this time, Dick has worked for profit and non-profit agencies, providing direct clinical practice, grant writing, program development/maintenance and compliance/oversight for a variety of state, federal and local regulatory bodies.
In direct clinical practice, she has worked with families, children, adolescents and couples in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Further, she operated a private practice providing outpatient psychotherapy services.
Her experience includes treating anxiety, depression, bi-polar, ADHD, oppositional defiant, depression, bi-polar, obsessive compulsive and addiction/substance abuse.
Dick received her Bachelor of Science degree in human psychology from Juniata College and her Masters of Social Work degree from Marywood University.
She is a member in good standing with the National Association of Social Workers as well as a NASW Certified Clinical Supervisor. Additionally, she is a 2013 graduate of the Leadership Huntingdon program.
