The St. Louis Cardinals announced on Wednesday that State College Spikes outfielder Rowan Wick has been named the Cardinals Minor League Player of the Month for June.
Wick set a Spikes club record for home runs in the month of June with 10 through the season’s first 16 games, besting the previous best mark of five, set by Mark Hamilton in 2006. The 10 home runs have also tied him with David Washington’s 2013 total for the highest in a single season in franchise history.
