James I. Boulton, 88, of Sanborn, NY died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital, Lewiston, NY.
Born July 12, 1925in Houtzdale, he was the son of James and Ruth (Goss) Boulton.
During World War II, he served as a fireman first class with the U.S. Navy.
He was employed as a laborer in the construction industry until his retirement. He was a member of the Buff Club in Niagara Falls.
He was married to Audrey (Hoffman) Boulton, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are step-children, Bobbie Woodruff of Sanborn, NY and Dawn Salvalvo and Robert Hoffman, both of Buffalo, NY; and numerous step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are a brother, Harold Boulton of Clearfield and a sister, Eleanor Masisak of Houtzdale.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; one brother, Donald Boulton; and a step-son, William Hoffman.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
The Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home, Houtzdale, is handling the local arrangements.
